If you know what you are doing and just want the root certificate, click certnew.der or certnew.cer.
Certificates are used to create encrypted connections to web servers. These Certificates also make sure the identity of the web server is correct or should be trusted. The web browser has default root certificate trusts with companies like Verisign, Entrust, Thawte, and others. Here at St. Mary's Hospital we use our own certificate authority. This is primarily to keep costs down. The only downside is that you, the user, must either live with the above error message, or add the Certificate Root to your browser's trusted authorities.
Certificates by design also have a limited life cycle. Our Certificates expire every 2 years. So when it expires, you will see a message similar to the above message. You will need to create the trust with the new root certificate.
Thank you,
